About
Booked to the brim or just not what you're looking for? Let the planner down gently by turning down their RFP. You can usually retract this action later, if you have a change of heart.

NOTE: Keep in mind you can only turn down RFPs if you are logged in to your Cvent account and your assigned user role allows it.

1 Open the RFP. Begin by selecting Manage RFPs from the top navigation bar.

Open the RFP by clicking its name. Under Section Links on the left, click RFP Details.

NOTE: You can't turn down an RFP if you've already submitted a proposal. Try withdrawing it instead.

2 Turn down the RFP. Click the Turn Down RFP button at the top. If the planner's dates are flexible, a yellow alert box appears, encouraging you to create a proposal for a different date. Select a reason from the dropdown.

If you choose "Other" as a reason, you must write something in the Additional Comments box before you can continue.

Click Turn Down RFP. The planner will receive an email, notifying them that you can't accommodate their business and why.
